The term “microclimate” is used to define the climate of a specific, narrow area within a larger environment that has unique thermo-hygrometric characteristics compared to the surrounding region.
The microclimate can be influenced by several factors such as, a small garden or yard, where the presence of trees and plants creates constant shade and lowers the temperature relative to the surroundings, or by activities carried out indoors.
