Flowing Air, Boundless Comfort
In the HVAC sector, energy efficiency and air distribution quality are essential factors in ensuring optimal performance in large-volume environments.
The Eliturbo air destratification and mixing system, designed to minimize thermal waste and enhance indoor comfort, is an innovative solution that optimizes air circulation in high-ceiling structures.
In 2004, Jebjerg-Lyby Hallen installed Eliturbo air mixers/destratifiers, achieving up to 50% energy savings along with a significant improvement in indoor climate conditions.
When the sports facility was expanded in 2010 and transformed into the Sport & Event Center Jebjerg, director Jan Dyhrberg Andersen chose to continue using the same technology.
Located at Søndervænget 1, 7870 Roslev, Denmark, the Sport & Event Center Jebjerg is a multipurpose facility offering a wide range of sports and recreational activities for all ages.
The center features a large gymnasium, an artificial turf mini-track, climbing walls, a fitness center, a body-bike room, and jump pits with trampolines and mats. Additionally, it includes a rotunda with a balcony, open spaces, and a stage for events.
Analysis conducted in 2004 demonstrated annual energy savings between 20,000 and 25,000 DKK. With the expansion of the facility—adding 600 m² of space (300 m² per side)—the decision to install additional Eliturbo units was a natural choice.
It is an excellent investment that pays for itself quickly, with the added benefit of a significant improvement in indoor comfort. The effect is evident when Eliturbo is in operation. Once the heating system is turned on, the time required to reach the optimal temperature is significantly reduced, rapidly enhancing the indoor climate.

Salling Efterskole, with its 8-meter-high ceilings, also chose to install three Eliturbo units in its gymnastics hall. also chose to install three Eliturbo units in its gymnastics hall. The integrated control system activates air circulation when the ceiling temperature reaches a certain threshold, reducing heat loss and enhancing thermal comfort.
Unlike traditional fans, which create unpleasant drafts, Eliturbo ensures 360° air mixing and redistribution, eliminating disruptive air currents, a common issue in conventional ventilation systems.
We had heard about the Sport & Event Center Jebjerg and how their air destratification system worked efficiently. Our facility has extremely high ceilings, so we knew that heat would rise quickly. We needed a solution to bring it back down to floor level, and the Eliturbo destratifiers allow us to do just that.
Leif Lundsgård, Director of Salling Efterskole
Nis Pedersen, Director of Anteco Thermo Trade A/S, confirms that an increasing number of sports facilities are showing interest in this solution, recognizing its benefits in terms of both energy efficiency and indoor comfort.
Eliturbo: A Smart and Cost-Effective Investment
Eliturbo was designed and developed by Impresind to enhance heat management in high-ceiling environments, such as sports facilities and industrial buildings, while minimizing thermal dispersion risks. It is a high-efficiency air destratifier/mixer that utilizes a controlled airflow circulation system to reduce the temperature gap between the ceiling and the floor. Thanks to Impresind’s patented impeller, Eliturbo fully mixes air from both the top and bottom, redistributing it evenly throughout the space without creating uncomfortable drafts. This eliminates heat stratification at the ceiling, a common issue in traditional ventilation systems. For example, with 28°C at 12 meters from the floor, the air mixing process generated by Eliturbo maintains a comfortable 21°C at ground level, ensuring an optimal indoor climate.
