Tensile structures and repurposed industrial warehouses, often used for sports facilities, present a unique challenge in terms of climate control. The lack of thermal insulation and the harsh winter temperatures require innovative solutions to ensure a comfortable environment while optimizing energy consumption.
The Tennis Club Morbegno faced this challenge to combat the harsh mountain winter and decided to rely on the expertise of Impresind and the advanced technology of the Tub One radiant heating system.
THE CHALLENGE
Harsh Temperatures, Thermal Dispersion, and High Costs
With a surface area of 600 m² and a height of 12 meters, the single-layer tensile structure of the Tennis Club Morbegno is ideal for hosting tennis, padel, and soccer courts. However, the facility had a significant issue: poor thermal insulation, which made it difficult to maintain a consistent temperature during sports activities.
To address this challenge, a heating system was required that could provide quick, targeted results, activating only when the courts were in use, thereby optimizing energy consumption and reducing operational costs.
Solution
To meet these needs, a Tub One radiant heating system was installed, designed to efficiently and sustainably heat large spaces.

- 1 RCF 80/100 unit, with the burner positioned outside the tensile structure to maximize interior space and ensure safety.
- Internal radiant circuit, optimized to uniformly cover the entire playing surface.
- Installation at 8 meters high, ensuring no interference with gameplay and delivering uniform heating without drafts.
- Modulating technology, allowing precise power adjustment based on heating requirements.
- Remote control capabilities, enabling the staff to quickly and intuitively turn the system on and off as needed.
